Case Study: BRYTER Visual and Brand Identity

Ensuring the success of a SaaS startup starts with the brand.

Creating a brand identity for BRYTER, a rapidly-growing SaaS company, involved navigating several challenges that could significantly impact its early success. Because of this, it was important to research and execute our visual identity with understanding of the target audience, an eye for market differentiation, consistency across channels and a plan for long-term brand building.

One of the major concerns with the branding was our timeline. As a quickly growing tech startup, time was not on our side; it was important that we had real brand solutions, quickly. It was also vital that we produced a strong visual identity that not only the marketing team could utilize, but associates across teams could access and use with ease.

We started with research and brainstorming to quickly focus on what was important to communicate with our brand identity. We prototyped a wide range of ideas before moving forward on specific assets. Once approved we proceed to create images, videos, assets and guidelines for use across different teams. This systematic approach kept the project focused and on track.

We successfully navigated the challenges of creating a strong visual identity by using strategic planning, ongoing evaluation, and a commitment to delivering consistent brand experiences that resonated with our target audience. By addressing these hurdles thoughtfully, we created a robust brand identity that helped drive customer loyalty, fostered brand advocacy, and supported sustainable business growth.

My roles and responsibilities:

  • Researched other SaaS companies in our field to identify what has been successful and where there were opportunities to differentiate ourselves.
  • Developed a mood board with the design team to quickly decide on a visual direction.
  • Worked with product and marketing teams to establish a color scheme, typography, and visual elements that resonate with our target audience.
  • Created layouts and assets for a user-friendly website that showcased our SaaS product’s features and benefits.
  • Helped develop brand guidelines covering logo usage, color palettes and typography with the goal of maintaining consistency across all communications.
